Perfection is a notion that seems amazingly attractive and galvanizing, at least in theory. We all covet it in our lives and all the aspects pertaining to it, be they ambitions, careers, physique, spirituality, relationships, and so on. However, despite our profound desire for it, perfection still eludes us. Human beings by nature are flawed creatures, incapable of attaining true perfection in anything. This is something that women understand and therefore they don’t make such demands of immaculateness and perfection from the men that they choose to give their hearts to. They do, however, want their men to be bereft of certain adverse and frankly offensive habits that can make them feel inferior, undesired, unseen, or emotionally drained. These habits render men unattractive to women and they repel them away from them almost immediately. Read on and learn about these adverse habits that women want men to drop right here.

Not Dismissing Her Feelings

Women want a man to actively listen to her when she expresses her feelings or shares her thoughts, fears, and vulnerabilities with a man without him judging her or calling her overreactive and delicate. They want a man who can respect her emotions and maturely accord them the understanding and attention that they crave.

Not Treating Communication Like an Interrogation

Women want men to stop avoiding open and honest communication like it is an interrogation. They want men to elucidate, be more descriptive and honest with their responses, and actually engage them with effort. They aren’t expecting mind-reading but they sure are concerned with heightened effort from the men in this regard.

Not Comparing Her to Other Women

Women want men to stop comparing them to other women, be it their mothers, sisters, friends, or the celebrities that they see on the big screen. Men should understand that women find these constant comparisons exhausting and they gradually drain them of all emotional investment and connection till there is nothing left.

Not Acting Single When He is in a Relationship

Men should ditch the habits that were fine when they were single when they enter a committed relationship. Women want men to stop being secretive with their phones, cut back on the filthy messages, be more organized, take greater interest in self-grooming, and so on. Consistent behavior is key for women and they wish men would understand it at an improved rate and pace.

Not Avoiding Accountability

Men should stop blaming other things like their work, stress from their responsibilities, or even their women. Instead, women want them to self-reflect and take responsibility for their actions. and mistakes. A man who takes accountability for his missteps enhances his attraction in the eyes of his woman.

Stop Making Her Beg for Effort

A woman loses affection for her man if he doesn’t put in the effort, plan dates, or impart affection her way unless she repeatedly demands them from him. Women want men to be more understanding and proactive in this regard and want them to become more affectionate and committed towards their relationship without being asked for it repeatedly.

Not Turning Every Disagreement into a Competition

Men need to understand that winning every argument and getting the last word in doesn’t guarantee them success in their relationships. They can win if they agree to solve every problem mutually through collaboration with their women. Men need to stop competing with their women and be more open to working with them to work through their relationship problems.

Not Weaponizing Silence

Women want men to understand that shutting down, going silent, and refusing to communicate is not the way to save their relationship. Emotional shutdown feels like rejection to women and they can’t bear it for long. Instead, they want men to be more understanding and be willing to talk it out with them once their emotions get cooler.

Not Being Emotionally Unavailable

Men need to understand that being strong doesn’t mean that they should act tough and stoic all the time. Many women desire emotional depth from their men, not emotional detachment or absence of warmth and emotional openness. Women want men to make more of an effort to connect and be open with them, emotionally and spiritually.

Not Making Her a Therapist

Women want men to understand that they are partners, not their go-to therapists. They don’t want to become emotional dumping grounds where their men can just unload their pain, hurt, and opinions unsolicited. Growth means that men should actively seek out support that goes beyond their women. A truly strong man is one who knows when to seek help and doesn’t run from this truth.

Not Prioritizing Everyone Else Over Her

Women want men to be more considerate in this regard. They want balance in life, one where they receive the same amount of attention as their men’s friends, work, family, and hobbies get. Women want men to understand that being made to feel as if they come at the last of their list of priorities, they effectively lose all trust and emotional investment in their relationships.

Not Breaking Small Promises

Women want men to stop breaking small promises regarding their calling them to check in on them during the day, fixing things that need to be fixed around the house and in their relationship, about when they will be back home, and so on. Reliability enhances romance, while repeated breaking of these small promises leads to erosion of trust in a relationship.

Not Mocking What Matters to Her

Men shouldn’t mock their women’s interests, dreams, vulnerabilities, and insecurities. Women feel disrespected when their partners use sarcasm towards their vulnerable areas. They want support and understanding from men because it means the world to them.

Stop Expecting Her to Carry the Emotional Load

Women shoulder virtually all of the emotional burden in their relationships. They are the ones who remember birthdays, plan all events, go to work on resolving tensions, and manage feelings. What they want is for their partners to help them out in this regard by sharing in carrying some of this emotional load. They want their partners to understand that partnership means carrying and sharing all the loads in their lives, emotional and physical.

Stop Thinking Love Should Always Be Easy

Every relationship runs into some hard bumps along the way eventually. The defining difference between those couples who stay together and the ones who don’t is the willingness to grow together. Women don’t leave their partners because they are imperfect; they leave because they refuse to grow or agree to remain committed and strive towards affirming their love regularly and consistently.

Final Thoughts

The ironic thing is that men who choose to swear off these habits end up becoming perfect in the eyes of their women. This isn’t because they essentially change who they are but because they end up maturing effectively. Women don’t expect their men to be immaculate or flawless. They just want them to be more affectionate, emotionally open, respectful, and communicative. A man who chooses to grow in these dimensions earns the unshakable and unerasable love of his woman.
